"How to Get to College and What to Do Once You’re There"
This workshop is designed to provide students with information to
plan for college and ideas for adjusting to the college lifestyle.
High school students will hear from current college students about
college life and how it differs from high school. College admissions
are becoming highly competitive. This session is designed to help
high school students prepare for this competition and present
themselves in a highly professional manner to meet this competitive
world of higher education.
"Healthcare Boot Camp"
Workshop students will be paired into small groups and experience
various healthcare fields that are available through interactive
learning opportunities. The following organizations will be
participating in the 2010 Boot Camp by volunteering their time and
resources. Keep checking in as we add more participants!

More Than Prescriptions:
Students will learn about pharmacology and asthma with peak flow
meters and inhalers. Butler University, Department of Pharmacy Practice

Help with Man's Best Friend:
Students will experience first hand what it's like to receive
animal-assisted therapy with the help of Madison the Yellow Lab –
Carla Arguello, Recreational Therapist,
Community Hospital, Hook Rehabilitation Center |

Command Station: Students will
get the opportunity to work commands with a helper dog.
