AHEC's in Indiana...
Northwest Indiana Area Health Education
Center (NWI-AHEC)
Indiana's second Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is being established
in the Northwest region of the state. The Northwest Indiana AHEC (NWI-AHEC)
is being established under the guidance of Virgil Hoftiezer, Ph.D. Under
Dr. Hoftiezer's early leadership, the NWI-AHEC has identified and convened
an interim advisory board to guide the development of programs to address
the unique needs of their region.
The NWI-AHEC has worked to:
- Identify key stakeholders throughout
their region to develop a strong interim advisory board; and
- Begin recruitment of an Associate
Director to help provide early leadership and vision.
